I went for it and cracked out 17 miles on the Belhus loop, first 6 miles are woodland and it turned out to be flooded big time. I had to ride through it and turned out to be deeper that i expected lol, water was over the peddles so i got soaked through with still 10+ miles left :)
was a pretty grinding ride with a strong head wind most of the way. Glad i got out though....

this is a fire road, now its a river!

Blimey Festa, looks like you could have done with a couple of pontoons strapped to your bike and a paddle :P

Drove pastr chicksands on Sunday there were a fair few cars in the car park with empy bike racks, not sure how rideable it was but rain was torrential, even saw a car aquaplane on the M25 into the central reservation and then across to the hard shoulder, if ever there was a reason to slow down, that was it !

I'm hoping to get out tomorrow, even if just for a short blast round the gravel tracks at Thorndon. Even if it doesn't rain again it's going to take atleast a good week to dry out properly. Really looking forward to summer and being able to go out for a ride without getting completely covered in mud, would be nice to only have to give the bike a quick wipe down!

Going a bit stir crazy, the missus was away for the last two weeks in Maui with her work ! so to compensate i just bought some gear (new jersey, compression suit, knee pads, chain stay protector and a chain cleaner) but she's back now so i have to behave :eh: trouble is i now have a load of gear and cant use it !!

Still looking for a bargain waterproof jacket though, the hunt continues...... :geek:

Got a cheap one from dare2b.com
They often have % off. Some cheap jackets are like wearing a dustbin liner. Surprisingly not with dare.

Poping out this afternoon I got 34 days till codham park.
