Hi all

If anyone's looking for self catered accommodation in Chatel, Portes Du Soleil, France, for a summer alpine trip, the following apartment is available for rental by the day, weekend or week (subject to availability):

Les Seilles, apartment in Chatel, sleeps 6, 50m from Super Chatel lift and town centre (pls click for more details and photos)

Will sort out a special Essexherts MTB rental rate if anyone's interested.

For those not in the know, as well as having its own bike park (Bikepark), you can easily get over from Chatel to the trails in Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets, Morgins, Les Crosets and Champery.

Chatel itself is a pretty mountain village with the nice restaurants, a few good bars (Le Tunnel in particular), supermarkets, outdoor swimming pool etc. plus there's plenty of family day out options e.g. Lavey Les Bains; Montreux; Yvoire; Annecy; white water rafting.

Travel time from Geneva airport is under 1.5 hours (autoroute around the north side of Lac Lehman) which makes a 2-3 long weekend trip very doable. There are loads of car hire firms at the airport or you can take a train direct from the airport to Aigle then get a transfer up the mountain with these guys - http://www.professionaltransfers.com/.

PM if you would like any more info.

Cheers

Northern (Adam)

Is it free from Sunday 10th to Saturday 16th June?

Not a deffo, just wondering if it's free and how much it would be :)

Thanks very much :)
