Not a magazine I normally buy but the geek in me made me get this months. The cover and a few of the pages use a bit of augmented to display a few short clips. Anyone else got this yet?

Yep I subscribe... it's really good.. even better if you have an ipad... cool feature to add into the magazine...

I work with Augmented Reality (AR) a fair bit at work at the moment. To get a real view of the future and some amazing AR content I would recommend 2 things:

1) if you have an iPhone or even better an iPad2 or 3, go to the App store and download String AR Showcase App. Once downloaded it will tell you on launching it to go to String's website and download their "markers" (4 A4 pictures) to print out or you could look at them through the App onscreen if you haven't got a printer, but only the Dragon is really designed to come out of a wall or screen, the others are better printed and laid out on a table for you to view.

2) To see the future of that technology (available within a year) go to YouTube and watch the vid on Google Glasses.

Imagine a pair of those glasses providing a heads up display with single track route info whilst your riding along.
