Hey guys Ive just hopefully bought myself a decent SC Bullit frame for £250 (2007). I want to build it up as a project.

Anyone done anything similiar? Anyone ridden/own a Bullit? And most of all anyone got any ideas with regard to the spec I could make up to?

Cheers

jamie

Bullits are awesome dude.. a bunch I rode with used and abused them - they are pretty much indestructible

What do you want to do with it?

Thats good to hear! Do you reckon £250 was a good price for a frame thats 5yrs old?

To be honest first of all its a project to build my first bike and secondly its a bike for either downhill with a bit of XC thrown in. Ive heard they are a little heavy. I normally ride a specialised pitch pro which is great, but always wanted a SC!

Obviously depends on condition? Did you get a shock with it . They used to come with those 5 elements which when working were pretty good.

The bullit is a FR / Dh bike... it will pedal ok but will bob a bit and be fairly heavy. Stick some totems / 180 forks on the front and you have a DH weapon

Yeah its got a 5elements shock which has been serviced etc. I thought it was more DH, which is cool as my Pitch as you know is all rounder. Be good to have a choice!

Im looking for some big forks for them too, you got any ideas wheres good to get the ones you mentioned?

heres a link to the frame: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27324215@N ... otostream/

Sweet - The frame looks in great condition - 250 is cheap for that for sure.

Forks to consider > 66s as damo mentioned, totems and 180 36's Fox's - do some research as they each have their pros and cons

Sounds good Damo, will it be okay to hook up at the end of the month ish?

Not sure with regard to 1.5? Its a 2005-2007 frame if that helps?

probably not a 1.5, i have the same model bike from 2007 and it has a 1 1/8 h/set. awesome bike to ride and considering its more of a dh bike, its pretty light, would recommend long travel single crowns though as has been said, really helps with the balance of the bike.
