Hey guys im currently running an 8 speed block which is 11-34T and at thetford forest i just couldnt find the right gear... do you think i should run 11-30 or 11-32? or should i just bite the bullet make my missus hate me and go for a 9 speed block..

i found my 11-34 fine when riding around town but off road it just didnt work too well..

thanks tom

It all depends how fit you are how much you have ridden off road. Also what front rings you have if you are going for 9
Then would it be SRAM my favourite or Shimano. I think you are a fan of one or the other I had a bike that came with sram x-9 and once I got used to it I now love SRAM

Im running shimano at the mo, ive always prefered shimano as a mechanic, (sram/truvativ stuff can be a pain to fit)

im running shimano deore m590 44/32/22 on the front and im not that fit if im honest, only just getting into this whole thing lol.

i think im gonna go for the 32... but still just not sure lol

Shimano 9spd, or if you're doing a all-out refit, go 10spd..... ;)
