Makes sense, especially as the lowers are the same size !

It doesn't matter what you ride

Looking good...

Is that a comfy armchair on top of your seatpost? ;-)

I can't help with the stem question, but it looks great! Less travel certainly makes it look more manageable when pointing upwards, definitely going to be winding my forks down a fair bit when it's all up and running

Thanks chris I'm really happy with how it is riding although upping the travel has made it skitish but now the reach has been shortened I can move the seat back to put some weight on the rear wheel. Feels alot more like my enduro now just rode 10miles and got so carried away the back end washed out even on the deck I had a smile :). The steering is a bit too sharp though for climbing nicely

Here's a 456-related question for the crowd, what are the funny little lugs/eyes/threaded holes next to the rear dropouts? I've been staring at mine for a while now, and I can't imaging what they do! Photo (not of mine):

They're for a derailleur guard

They're actually eyelets for mudguards and panniers. You won't need a derailleur guard on both sides.

You are right Greg :) my question is how can I fit my boys trailer to my bike using the pannier fittings ?
I was thinking of making an adapter so I don't have to remove the rear wheel :)

What trailer do you have? My trailer fits to the rear axle with a bracket. I wouldn't try to use the eyelets to tow a trailer as I don't think they would be strong enough to take the weight of the trailer and child.

Mine does aswell Greg ! I was thinking of making something from steel to use all the pannier connections to give me a towing point for the trailer :)
