Some of you may remember Joost (Crash), and we are planning to meet up again in Les Gets Saturday/Sun 21st July for a weeks Alps riding as we had such a fantastic time last year :D

Level of riding will be Intermediate mainly doing the blue / red runs moving onto black I expect when upto speed and some freeride when we can.

Ideally looking to drive over with all the gear but still deliberating on that one, and hunting around for accomodation now for at least three of us as Joost has a buddy coming along too.

Anyone interested in joining and sharing accommodation which I still need to sort out. Might be a chance of 1 other in my car too dependent on arrangements/ location.

Need to get this moving quick so if interested please post up in next few days!!

:D :D :D

Hi.

If you see my thread...http://www.essexhertsmtb.co.uk/mountain ... it=morzine youll see I'm organising something too for 4th August

Ill prob be going by coach (picking up people along the way, Lakeside in Essex) and staying at my brothers chalet in Morzine.

Anyway, meeting some friends this weekend to see if they are interested, thought I'd mention that I'd be interested in your trip should mine all fall through or you may be interested in the 4th August trip should yours fall through....I could prob get money off accomodation if i went on your trip and we stayed at my bruvs place (http://www.morzineholidays.com/morzinetrails/ & http://www.morzineholidays.com/summer/)

The cost was £465, for trip there & back and accomdation and meals (Brekkie, Eve meal plus some wine & beers)...although I can get a reduced price for me and friends.

Just to say this is still an open invite if others are interested in the trip, transport is gone as Andy and I will car share and unfortunatly i cant fit more in but sounds like we could organise airport pick up if you fly and join us in the accomodation.

Just need to finalise numbers quick if we are taking the Chalet in Les Gets as will need to secure it. Will leave it a few days now and make firm arrangements Friday if no other interest.

Happy days :)

Euro tunnel / accommodation booked we're on our way! There is still loads of space at the catered chalet if anyone else fancies joining us too.

The countdown is on. Happy days :D

Yep.I'll add I've haggled a price of £215 for friends for 7 nights includes Breafast, Evening meal (with some Wine & Beers).

Its my bruv's Chalet (link above) in Morzine, about a 10 Min ride to the main Pleney Ski Lift and from there its easy to access all the main popular runs in Morzine (Pleney, Super Morzine) and Les Gets (Chavannes, Mont Cherry) plus tons more if you want to go further afield, Champerey in Switzerland, etc

Runs range from a pleasant day trip (I plan to visit Montriond Lake nearby for example) to the green/blue/red/black runs, nothing is too intimidating and most runs are quite wide and have chicken runs by the jumps, done most of the black runs myself and Im not pro, only the top bike park/black run bit at the top of Chavannes has mental jumps/drops.

Transport wise, driving is one option (by euro tunnel or ferry) or flights to Geneva (can arrange transfer for £45).

Hi Andy,

That sounds pretty good, I might be interested if there's still space available? I'd probably bring a buddy to split the fuel cost as I cant see the sleazyjet thanking me for shipping an MTB! :D

Well..Grin is driving and thats full up., but yep..space at Chalet.

You can take bikes on Easyjet (Ive done it a few times), it costs an exta £25 each way - its pretty easy. Transfers will be £45 to/from Geneva and Chalet.

Hmmm, that puts it right up against taking the car - in my diesel plodder it'd cost about the same assuming my mate can make it. Tempting!

Hiya. Yep. Still available.

Going round my bruvs on Tuesday so can double check.

I believe its just 4 in chalet at mo, but sleeps 20 odd. Rooms are single, doubles, triples, so hopefully singles for all, but is possible may have to share. Will sort it out nearer the time depending if others go.

Thinking of flying, driving ?

Unfortuntaley flights are getting bit pricey for sat 21st and 28th so best check.
