Sorry chaps another dopey question

My brother has a giant rincoln fitted with shimano Alevo gears and an 8 speed shifter marked V brake

The upshifter has lost connection and now does nothing, have had a look at the cables and all seems well

Does anyone have an thoughts or is it knackered

Sounds like the shifter is knackered mate, any excuse for an upgrade :)

Take em apart and give them a spray with WD40 or the 1 from the pound shop called DP60..i couldn't stop laughing at it..it drives out squeekes u no..DP that is!!...Z

Sounds like the internal ratchet has gave up.... Can try bit of WD, but don't fancy your chances of revival on this one.

Brother took it into our local shop and was told is all bent and knackered...

Brother decided if it bends 1 way it's must bend tother

Seems ok now........eeeek
