Make sure what your largest sprocket size is as that mech goes up to a 34 tooth cassette. This goes up to a 36 but is more expensive. http://www.bike-discount.de/shop/k1197/ ... ilver.html

Thanks Greg that's the one I have fitted currently....

Also need to replace the current fitted Shimano Deore BB51 Hollowtech BB, as it has about 4 - 5mm of play in it.. so see this on the same site above.

any recommendations for a new BB

I bought a hope after my XT external BB went. Never had a problem since and have left it on despite just buying a new XT crank as it's been faultless.

Better in the long run as bearings can be replaced. The steel bearing type is cheaper than the ceramic and come in loads of colours.

I've got a Deore hollow tech 2 BB brand new in box unopened, you can have it for £15 as thats what i paid for it from Cycle surgery, i bought it to help Marco out of a hole but he needed a hollow tech 1 :problem:

I've got it with me today as i was going to return it, make sure its definately what you need, the box says:

SM-BB (hollowtech II) SMBB51
Shimano BB deore M590

Its the same as the one in my bike, works just fine for me? got reciepts for it.

I dont get over Chelmsford a great deal, but tonight i may be up at the 8 ball diner if thats any good for you ? or of course you can collect any time from Benfleet or arrange to meet, whatever.

Thanks for the offer of this but I may hold back on this. As it was the same one I had fitted, I may go for a Shimano bb70 instead may last longer than the original oem one.

Sorry to muck you around :-)
