Went to Danbury this morning did some xc and got covered in crap, however the freeride side of things was pretty good and reasonable with only a few gloopy bits

Epping has a greasy top layer but is still running fast.. a good test of the skills if you like it slidey.

Swinley was a bit slippery over the roots and sluggish in some parts otherwise still running fast through the bermed parts The Gulley was fine aswell.

Epping was great today, I've never seen it so wet in that place, there were puddles where there have never been puddles before but seeing as all this rain has fallen on nicely baked conditions form a week ago the pace is very fast as it's more surface water than thick sticky mud Great powersliding action and guessing whether that puddle is deep or just a shallow one was great.

South epping was pretty dry yesterday. Some of the more popular trails are muddier though and theres water in a few dips and at the bottom of the descents.

Went North in epping over the weekend. Really muddy and clouds of flies along the way. The middle of the forest seemed better but this current rain will kill that as well I fear.

I feel Epping is a no go now there's even more ran forcast, either going to slog around on a single speed of hit the streets of London town for a while and if the overground starts running there at the weekends.

Puddle roulette in south + mid Epping on saturday 9th - I lost - headfirst into a 2-3 foot deep bog of stagnant water, mud and horsesh*t. I was given a 4 feet radius on the train back to London on account of the stench :sick:

what's Broxbourne like at the mo? was thinking of heading up there this Sunday if it's not too bad.

Epping is wet, the local downhill trails are like riding down a stream. Lots more surface water and the puddles are bigger.

Winter ht with mud tyres in june :shock:
