Any 1 out tomorrow & where to go ????

Really want to get out but i have no wet weather gear, may have to say feck it and get in a mess, dont care where !

After last nights downpour and this morning i'm guessing tonights a no go ?? no idea what the weather has been like during the day !

Only just stopped raining here... been raining all night and day..

Anyway, Michelle's still ill and it's cold, wet and muddy "so for that reason, I'm Out"

Super late notice, but i can't stand another night in, so i'm out tonight, from mine in benfleet to try and link up Coombewood, shipwrights and back down to benfleet station area or something, leaving mine at about 7:00pm

I'm gonna get the boys to bed later and get this other frame finished stripped.. Seatpost, clamp and Headset all despatched so need to get painted so I can start building..

Well that was (un)eventful, church hill nearly killed me (nothing strange there!) didn't bother with Coombe wood as even the access to it looked like somewhere Pete Bog would live so i moved on to the Glen but that was sodden clay so went to shipwrights and looked for the 'other' entrance but didn't find it ?? went down vicarage hill instead, then i decided to see my old stomping ground Benfleet BMX track, or whats left of it, its now a motocross track, no jumps though :O( here's where it got messy, it was like that clay you get down the creak, thick and sticky and within seconds i couldn't even push the bike let alone ride it !! i tried to clean as much off with a stick as i could so the wheels would turn and just headed home, then spent 15mins with the hose pipe trying to clean the crap off !!!

in future - don't bother.

Oops.. That's why I avoid those sections in this wet weather.
Shame though, as it looked ok out there tonight, nice and mild..

You'll have to come over on the Hockley route, it's even ok in the wet.
And if your stamina has been building then the extended Hockley route is good. 19 mile loop from mine on Carlton.

Stamina? What's that.... I've been in holiday in Ibiza for two Weeks, ridden twice in 4 Weeks! Lol

Getting out this evening but starting from Benfleet heading out to Hockley then god only knows where ! @ about 7:00pm

Should be getting out for a short blast too (short as legs still feeling it from the 32 miles of Sunday morning)

Was probably doing Hadleigh, the bits we did on Sunday. Gotta drive to Manchester at 5:30am tomorrow too so can't overdo it.

I think we're (Marco and I) are heading out from Benfleet through Raylieigh past Grips and down into hockley

I thought Hadleigh was all cordoned off ?

Isnt it just the one bit thats fenced off in Hadleigh, the run that ends at the steep climb (part of the course).

Correct. Only bit blocked was the trail leading to bridge/gate and up climb to bench. Diversion is good fun and great alternative bits. Still get access to Clay Hill, just from the side and can climb to top to do whole descent

Yep..whilst riding to clay/murder hill I managed to catch my extra wide bars on that pesky fence and fall into a spikey bush
