Hi, does anyone have a spare silver Shimano cable ferrule they could let me have please?

I only need one and I can't seem to find Shimano ones on the web anywhere.

I did get some jagwire ones but they ain't staying put when their crimped but the shimano ones are fine.

Cheers

Are u crimping the jag wire ones enough? :-s we use them all day long at work an have no issue... Did u get brake or gear ferrules? Brake outer is bigger than gear outer!

I use heatshrink - works much better as it doesn't crimp the end ;) keeps it dry and stops it fraying, comes in whatever colour you like - never had one fall off.

1.5 mm diameter does the trick. Ignore the big arrow I nicked the image.

shrink it with a lighter or heatgun

I got Aluminium cable ends that said they could be used for Brake and gear cables - didnt known their was a difference

I'm trying to fit it to the end of the remote lockout cable if that helps. Don't think it's lack of 'squeezing' pressure but I'll give em another try.

Remote lock outs tend to use a gear cable which is the smaller of the 2 so I reakon that's why it's too big! Go to ur local bike shop and ask for some push fit plastic gear ferrules and it will work I reakon!
