 Post subject: Replacing Rear shock

Im a mechanical numpty so, Is there anything more complicated to install a rear shock other than laying the bike on the floor and unscrewing the bolts?

Nope thats it.
laying it on the floor is a good idea as the back wheel will drag the whole linkage backwards if it is unsupported.

You also need to make sure you have the right size bushings for your frame if you have a new shock.
