"Read more" (Of course)

"Buy tickets"

Despite their enormousness the UKBP dudes do like to make navigating their website a test of perseverance

Stev-o - small problem - Mrs. Northern may now be taking the car for entire w/e (to visit her recently hospitalised mother) - so may not be able to provide you with a lift after all - will find out and let you know

Have you created a user ID/account?

Seem to remember having to log in to your account first and then you can book

Once you're logged in and have pressed 'read me' you should see, in small text, towards the bottom right, an option to 'buy tickets'.....

.....isn't this obvious!?!?

Steve-O - thnx but I'm going to drive - happy to give both Karve and you a lift - might be a bit more comfortable in my wagon - or can meet youmthere - let me know?

Uplfit starts at 09.30 so think we need to be heading from Loughton at around 6am so if you wanted a lift you'd need to be at mine for just before - we can then load up, collect Karve and hit the road

Ok - here we go with the 10 point review of today's trip:

1. Remarkably we had a dry day, which was nice

2. Unremarkably, the planned expansion of the trails over winter hasn't materialised!

3. Stevo's very happy with his new (and very rare) WSD Giant Glory even though it doesn't have a glory hole

4. Chris144 owns a magnificent pair of mandals and also has generously being offering me the credit for his carrier bag / or hotel shower cap to keep your saddle dry top tip

5. You can't believe what's written on the UN BP website - it doesn't start at 09.30

6. UKBP is only 2-2.5 hours to drive to from Loughton but it is is a 4 hour to drive back to Loughton, which was annoying

7. No trip is complete without Karve kissing the dirt at least once - this time his lack of air braking (caused by a rash decision not to deploy a billowing riding blouse and the bite point of his formula brakes being at the point where the lever touches the bar) led to an over the bars incident whilst trying to avoid another rider

8. Devil's Dyke and Tsubo are great DH trails - v. similar in style and feel to Aston Hill's steeper tracks

9. The Charlatans make a remarkably good pre and post ride sound track (although Stev-O and Karve - and many others - may disagree)

10. Can't help but feel UK BP needs some more trails and a bit of work to buff up the existing trails to make it worthy of a return visit

Still all in all an amusing day!

Sounds and looks like the normal good time at ukbikepark. Glad to see someone carrying on the crashing tradition.
