Epping Forest trails have more surface water, rather than being truly boggy. If you pick the right route its ok... but still terrible for this time of year.

Rode out in Swinley on Saturday. £2 for loamy and flowing XC trails and bone dry downhill runs w berms and jumps - hell yeah...good fun. it rained while we were there, but given it's an evergreen forest it dries almost instantly.

Didn't think Thorndon was to bad today. Bog just by Donkey lane and track down off south lake very over grown.

Danbury was wet and muddy last night after the latest downpour. Still running good though, makes you take more care and choose your lines more carefully.

Epping was good on Satursday afternoon. Starting to get a little wet in areas but still a lot of dry parts out there.
if the weather doesn't chage to drastically should be good up until Xmas.

I rode Epping for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago and struggled to make the ride flow due not knowing routes but I will say it was mega boggy there

I believe Epping is still more water than anything else right now so for me it's a no go area. Hopefully the next week or so the weather stays as they predicted hot and dry andmaybe next week the forest would have dried out enough to actually ride in there.

Swinley Forest today, practically dry, few areas of small mud and some big puddles but only really on the fireroad sections, the woods are really dry considering

I went to Epping again today and it is near unrideable in some bits

Anyone know how the north downs are running at the mo. I hear there was some disruption to the trails through logging?

North downs, is that Surrey Hills area? If so, I spoke to Beardee during the week and he mentioned that alot of the trials have been messed up due to tree harvesting.
