:) Hadleigh businesses may miss all the Olympic action :)

TRADERS in Hadleigh fear they will miss out on any Olympic boost to business despite their town hosting an event.

They are concerned about how shoppers will get to the shops and the parking situation in the town, when spectators turn up to watch the Olympic mountain bike event, at Hadleigh Farm on Saturday and Sunday, August 11 and 12.

So the torch is in town from Friday, was interesting to see on the timetable this entry:

16:13 A1235 Cranes Farm Rd

Do they know that's where the sewerage farm is and on a good day the smell is intolerable, let alone a bad day, and I'm sure a naked flame flapping about in the wind is a recipe for disaster !

I will make sure i well clear of it at this point !

Pupils’ artwork gives centre of Hadleigh a lift

IMAGES have been unveiled in Hadleigh town centre to celebrate the Olympics.

Pupils from Westwood Junior School, in Beresford Close, Hadleigh, and Hadleigh Junior School, in Church Road, transformed sporting photos of themselves into artwork in commemoration of the 2012 Games.
