Not mine, but one of my riding buddies had it grabbed from his 3rd floor balcony of his flat in Mile End, locks cut off in the middle of the night, didn't make a sound or leave a trace. The picture's a bit ropey, but it looks like this:

Image

Cove Shocker Frame (bright green, large, 2009 with Vivid 5.1 shock)
White 2012 Boxxer Team forks
Renthal bars
Saint Cranks
MTX rims on hope hubs

Please, please keep an eye out, if you see anything that might be it give me a shout, or my mate Joe on 07403 613754. There aren't that many of them about, fingers crossed they get the guys who grabbed it.

Cheers all,

Chris

The success was someone put up pix of his stolen bike and almost immediately an ad appeared selling the same bike, it was instantly recognised by people who phoned the proper owner and bike recovered :)

It was linked to in a thread here recently but cant remember where !

This website shows every bike that goes on sale within london. A mate of mine found his 800 pound racing bike on there, and went and confronted the thieves, as the police wouldn't do anything. He came back with his bike and a massive black eye.
I hope you find it :)

Sorry, missed a few replies to this. Yeah, we ride at aston hill a fair bit, my mate who owns/owned it is called Joe, often accompained by a brave gorilla-type called Adam . You'd probably remember riding with Joe, he's one of the smoothest riders I've ever seen.

Cheers for the bike shed link, I'll have a look through and send it joe's way too.

Jonboy, you serious?! It wasn't stolen a million miles away from Islington, and there aren't all than many of them in the country. The most distinctive bit is that on one side the top half of the 'o' in 'Cove' has come off, so it says 'Cuve'. It's also got a slightly larger than usual front ring, and some pedals made by NRG which also don't seem to be all that common this side of the pond. The green grips & white saddle make it pretty obvious though, and the bars are that strange grey/greeny beige to match the stantions.

Please get in touch with me or Joe if you think you see it, if it's stationary for long enough call his mobile (number's on this thread) and he'll be there like a shot to see if it's his!
