Chaps annd Chapesses

I have a 20" Kinesis frame that I was going to sell as well. I love it - it has a really low bb and great handling but I wanted to replace with a frame that I could move the reverb between that and my AM bike.

Any way - whilst stripping it ready to sell I have found a pretty meaty crack in the seat tube right at the top front by the gap for the Seat bolt. Gutted - On reflection I think the seat bolt was way to tight and there was enough flex to create the split.

Would anyone be interested in a decent frame that can do a bit of welding - or is it a right off? This is the first bit of kit I have seriously broken so would like your views on whether someone could reapir it or should it go in the bin - which seems such a shame.

Nigel

I wouldn't say it's a right off, however it might be worth getting a frame builder to take a look, somewhere like http://www.argoscycles.com might be worth a buzz.

It's a steel frame so should be a lot easier to fix.

I have the same bike. My mate had one too and he had the same issue. Kinesis replaced it under warranty, I would chase it up with them
