Dude, welcome to Southend but you wont see a single thing of the MTB without a ticket, the place is like fort knox !! write it off and ride Danbury etc instead.

1. Only public viewing will be with ticket or from helicopter, although i guess you may be able to ride around the general area (outside the big fences) on the day, although you wont see much/anything, better watching it on TV

2. Is there a Southend Festival ?. Cant see anything specific listed > http://www.visitsouthend.co.uk/whats-on ... 12&mstat=0 but always quite a lot happening, depending what you like and where you wanna go.

3. Good question, havn't seen this mentioned but I'd assume they would be there a few days before at least, if not weeks.

Like they say above most of the course is in the middle of Hadleigh Country Park. and can not be seen from anywhere outside, it's rather good as no view is spoilt 8-) 8-)

But the Dog Walking Fraternity are kicking up a stink, so not only from there pooches but them self :x :x see linky >> HERE
Some choice comments... :o

Its all kicked off on the local paper's website about the legacy thing, some cracking comments being made (same link as above) - http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/local_news/castlepoint/9798526.Keep_your_hands_off_our_precious_Hadleigh_country_park_/

Great stuff..I mentioned it on Hadleigh MTB facebook page too, another letter in todays paper from some miserable old git moaning that its a lot to build for only 80 competitors and that no-one 'he knows' is interested, that explains why its a sell out then !. God theres some moaning gits around here....well Benfleet especially.!
