Hi gents, anyone ridden Haldon Forest nr Exeter, is it worth a visit?

Visiting that area possibly this summer (if you can call it summer!) and thought might take a look around there on the Enduro.

Any info much appreciated.

Cheers all,

Paul

Hey Paul. I've ridden it and it has a lot of man made trails including some downhill. It also has a lot of off piste stuff but you'll need to know local riders to find it. I'm actually moving to Devon this month quite near to the forest so may be around if you're going there this month. If not I could put you in touch with some of the local groups to see if you could join some of them.
It was also reviewed in MBR or MBUK a couple of months ago. The cafe is supposed to be quite good too ;)

Hi Greg, thanks for the info and offer and hope the move goes well mate.

I go down there at least once a year as I have family in Devon. Popped down this weekend but couldn't do riding as to much family stuff going on. Might get down later and would be great if we could meet up at Haldon.

All the best for the future anyway fella.

Hi Grin

I have ridden it a fair few times - the red is pretty good and flowy with the odd road crossing it also hold up very well in the wet so dont let bad weather put you off. I think they have rebuilt the black since i rode it but from what I remember it is pretty good. II always wanted to ride the shore there (which I think has been taken down) there is more off piste stuff there as mentioned but that is probably bigger bike territory

Yeah be good to meet up when you come down. Shame we didn't get the time to do the snowboarding at Hemel, I'll have to see if there's any decent slopes in Devon. I'll PM you my number if you don't have it.
