Well what can i say,
I met a some good people last night that put me through my paces. Although slight of build i didnt think i was so unfit. felt like i was blowing out me arse
never the less it was awesome the downhill sections made it all worth while. I almost face planted a tree :high5:
and spent 50% of the time drifting it round corners!!!!
To sum it up caked in shite , burning legs , developing ashtma & dizzy spells!!!!!

cant wait for the next ride

If anything make sure you bring/buy a cammel bak ruk sack, I didnt and i regret it as you are drinking all the time. Could have been an easier ride for me if i were better equiped. + bug spray.
enjoy !!!

Anyone done a good GPS/map of the routes at Laindon/Langdon Hills, I know a few but could do with more knowledge so as to link togther a longer/downhill-ish route.

If wanting a water backpack I'd suggest visiting Go Outdoors.
I got a Hi Gear 2L pack with quite a bit of storage pockets for 20 quid I think.
Good call on bug spray as I have none lol

Cheers  Na i wont, might ride into work a few days a week to build up my stamina. My body is fine today which is a shock. It was just my lungs that felt it. Also was socked at how many miles i did.
lets hope for some more global warming to et these trails dry, as i dont think the misses would like me nicking her hair dryer to get things moving along.

Hi all,

I am heading up to Essex this weekend to watch the mtbing and am bringing my bike. The rides posted by VW-surfbum look like the type of thing we are up for doing (with the misses and 2 friends). Is there any chance you can send me the GPS/GPX/KML file so I can load it into my Garmin so I can follow it. I can't work out how to export from endomondo!

We are not from around this area so having a route planned it would make it so much easier for us.

Thanks a load
Crispin

P.S. If anyone wants and routes/info on QE park in Hampshire - just let me know. We have most plotted out.
