Time has come to replace hte brake pads on my elixr's.

Any suggestions, bearing in mind the weather to come in the next few months?

I've herad superstar pads are good but don't last long.

Depends which pads you get, Ive got superstar ones and seem fine, used the standard organic ones over here but switched to sintered ones in Morzine as they were getting some HEAVY use and it will eat up standard ones but the sintered look hardly worn.

Trouble is the sintered ones do like real hard braking/getting hot and arnt as suited to slow plods around a muddy UK woods !..

Ive used the superstar kevlar ones too, think they last longer but they arnt that cheap anymore, whereas the standard organics are great VFM.

Dont no if they do em for yours..but i use black ceramic from discobrakes.com...last forever and stop in the wet and dry..although they do make a hell of a noise in the wet..z

Superstar sintered pads are good and don't howl when wet... Get them warmed up nicely and stop you on a dime

Cheers for the advice guys. Going for the superstar sintered pads probably, hopefully pu tthem on and won't have to worry for a few months.

Just make sure you have a good fast downhill run to get em burned in nicely.

I'd recommend organic/kevlar for poodling about/XC and sintered for extreme stuff/especially abroad-alps, whilster, that kinda thing.
