Got the bike back at the weekend. A couple of links on the rear end had dried up. I may need to ease off on the jet washing... The chap reckonened the stem was slightly loose too.

Took it for a spin this morning and all appears correct. Thankfully.

The rear brake is still a bit spongy so I'll give that a bleed when I get a min.

To celebrate, I treated her to a pair of these: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/spe ... e-ec001847

Hopefully, they will prevent me from being so bloody punture prone. I have a pair of road Armadillos on my Rockhopper and I must say they are damn fine.

Cheers for all your help / advice.

My bike has been a bit noisy recently and then my seatpost snapped so maybe it was trying to give me a sign :)
