Just had my e-thirteen bash and chain devise fitted along with a raceface 36t ring. Think it looks sweet!

The 36t ring feels nice to ride on but are all chain devises abit noisy? Like a rubbing sound? It's not really going to bother me but just thought it might need tweaking? Any ideas?

Does look good. All of them make some noise especially at the extremities of the cassette

Yes indeed..some devices make a right racket, I went through a few before settling on my MRP G2, which runs almost silently.

I see your lower roller is just a whel as opposed to a toothed sprocket, I find the wheel types a bit noisy (as each link rolls over them.)

My lower sprocket is almost silent, sometimes noise can be found coming from the top guide, (the chain rubs) but often a washer or bending it slightly moves it and no rubbing occurs.

Yeh been having a look and it is coming from the lower roller and its starting to p!ss me off! there must been some thing i could do to quiet it down?

What about rapping the roller in some sort of rubber to soften the impact of the chain hitting it?

Ideas on a post card please....

Perhaps some spacer adjustment on the lower roller? My MRP 2x has different spacer combinations depending on BB size and ring configuration. It does make a bit of noise on the extreme rings, but you cannot get away from it.

Well il keep playing around with it and see what happens.
I just wrapped it in PTFE tape and it was quieter but that would just tear off after a while.
What else could I try?

Different rollers? Can you get nylon/plastic?

Im assuming the MRP 2x has a toothed sprocket though ?. They are quiet and smooth, hence why they are used in gears, its the wheel type roller that introduces noise (IMO).

I had a cheap guide that had a wheel and was a right racket, it got ditched quickly.

Mine is for a single chainring, but I assume that 2x version can use a toothed sprocket (I assume MRP 2x does).
