Hey,

Once again our beautiful British weather is upon us for next however many months so I'm considering buying some decent mudguards and this front one has caught my eye http://www.powa-products.com/ which I noticed on a Santa Cruz in MTBUK mag.

Really like the look but the cheapest I've found on the net is £53.

Has anyone taken the plunge and got one of these? Are they worth the money?

Never bothered in the past with mudguards but think its about time I gave em ago!

All thoughts welcome.. Cheers Dan.

Was going to go for a Bender fender but heard they can clog in thick mud? I got a cheap neoguard off wiggle, not expecting much really but it did a great job at Cannock in torrential rain

i was wary of them as they look like they will dump all of the mud back into the groove behind the brake bridge which will wear seals

Mud in the groove makes no diff,.mud on the stanchions does though, not noticed any more than normal but its early days yet, the Bender fender is good at keeping the stanchions clear apparently?

Loads of people in France had the Marsh Guards (I believe they are made in Morzine ?), they are on the Dirty Girls Ride site (don't get too excited !) > http://www.dirtygirlsride.com/Dirty_Gir ... guard.html only 7 quid.

Exactly what I thought when I saw it in mbuk, took me about an hour to find it on the net though they couldn't of pushed marketing that much I guess it would of helped if I knew what it was called..
You get choice of 3 decal colours. Prob go for gold.
Don't think they do a rear one ill let you know if I see anything equally as cool tho..

Just ordered a pair of fender benders. Pics to follow.

Has anyone tried the Bett Fender or something like, I don't mind the mud, just it never seems to wash out "Daz challenge"

i can't see a point in it for mtb'ing

you are going to get muddy one way or another.

the only reason i have installed a guard on the front is so i can see where i am going
