Javi, that go pro one and the adaptive mounts looks good?

The quality of video and cam is superb but it's not for me because it's bulky.
In Alps almost everyone uses Go Pro. Same for MTB World Champs pro riders.

I have no problem with shaky videos, I have loads on my YouTube channel that are very smooth!

Where do you put the cam? I used to wear it on top of my helmet very tightly secured but it was my helmet that was kind of moving so clips eere not perfect. Now they look good.

I put it on my goggles so it moves a bit with big impacts but grips the helmet very well most of the time, and because its a full face its heavy enough not to move. However I do get that problem with my 'piss pot' that the camera makes the helmet unstable, but i can only imagine the problem to be worse with a Go Pro!

Just picked up the LCD backpack for the Gopro, must say thats worth its money gonna make setting up shots and mounting etc easy now. I was lead to believe that it kills the battery because once fitted it comes on and stays on whilst filming when in fact it dosent as has its own power button and once turned off the cam still records...

used the cam yesterday and was very impressed the chest mount is brilliant and works great for wrapping around a tree for the off bike shots

Been having this conversation on facebook on the Hadleigh MTB Club page still can't decide what to do, has anyone got footage from the Contour camera? Can't argue with the quality of the GoPro's but the Contour Roam can be found quite cheap

Sweet - Does it still fit inside the case with the back pack or is a new case required?

Oh yes, and here is an edit filmed entirely with the contour on a tripod (in 720p)

fits in case but needs a different door which is supplied with the lcd, in fact comes with 4 doors, waterproof non waterproof one for a wrist mount and a vented one. im suprised how thin the lcd is once in the case its almost the same size...

Yeah thats the GPS. I believe, depending on the firmware you use, the roam records in the same quality, just less features like GPS, and bluetooth. Contour released a new firmware recently that makes the videos sharper and the colours better, i would assume the roam comes with this installed.

Went for the Roam, again tested it out and Dusk til Dawn... very very impressed- camera is built very well has a good selection of mounts ( I bought the bike mount kit) is solid on the mounts, doesn't shake about or give that jumpy/shaky footage and doesn't look like a toaster... wasn't too bad for filming in the dark with lights either - if I work out how to become a vid editor or get someone to do it for me I'll post a link
