Cheers,
it was hard finding clips where you guys didnt vanish after 2 seconds of filming.
just been looking at some "rubber queens 2.4" to give me more confidence when cornering. As im running + mark 2.1's ... bit to skinny for this weather.

After just one run the tred disapeared beneath the mud an it was like rolling on slicks. Ok, so if skiny is better. What is good for tred heigt or displacement of mud ???

Cheers

Muzza instead of spending your money trying to upgrade this bike to what you want. Wouldn't it be easier to save your cash and buy a full suss? That way you have two bikes one for dh and one for well just riding.

Muzza skinnier tyres cut through the mud to the ground below hence more grip
fatter tyres with the same size nobbles will just float on top and provide less grip

the key to riding in mud is technique and knowing when you will slide and committing to the corners

i'm not trying to patronize it really is just practice.

ideally you should run mud specific tyres but it will really depend on your budget

personally i run highroller 2.35 all year round and just adapt my riding depending on the surface.

i've ridden danbury in dust, dirt, mud and snow on the same tyres.

am loving the high roller you have put on tbe back of my bike! I dont feel any less traction then the 2.4 advantage and its a faster tyre!
