Out in Epping this morning, still a few dry lines but it's getting wet now. Some of the puddles are deep and sucky!

South epping is dry, there is the odd greasy patch and the odd puddle though.

Thorndon has been draining pretty well, it's muddy, but still solid. Get a mud tyre on the front, and have fun!

As luvinit said, lots of leaves in some areas, not always a good thing as they can get slippery under braking.

EDIT: Hmm, used some different trials today and they weren't so great. Over by the golf course, very gloopy, and out by childerditch woods, there's a few very gloopy areas.

Done the XC on Saturday, quite a bit of mud but still very rideable and enjoyable. The jumps part was ok

Danbury gravity stuff is all fine minor mud but nothing that slows you down that much

Epping yesterday was a mix of deep slop, small puddles, big puddles, puddles big enough to hide a hippo, big roots and a lot of fun.

Did the Evans Ride on Saturday around Epping - a couple of guys there said London to Brighton (Off-Road) was easier!. Lots of sticky deep slop not helped by the fact that the route went across a ploughed field!

Bailed out of the Long route after two (rear) punctures and a tube provided by a fellow rider that had a dodgy valve which meant pumping the tyre up every 15 mins.

Had a "Vicar of Dibbley" moment with one "puddle" being deep enough to come up to the crossbar!, seems like most people on the ride remember that one!

Was it a good ride despite the downsides?

I was out at Epping on Saturday for about 3 hours from 1pm. started off on a southern run down from pole hill. pretty sloppy - probably because it had been churned by Evans crew earlier. From then on every time I saw one of those yellow stickers I went a different direction, and the rest of the south was rideable, but back to its usual pre-summer bogness. Was it fun? Always! Just gotta get stuck in.

East of the tea hut was rolling sweet, but think I might try my luck down Holmbury Hill in Surrey come Saturday.

Westwood in Hadleigh was almost impassable due to the gloop, made for a hilarious slow ride and the big drop from tattersall gardens to the railway line is treacherous, had me on my arse 3 times last night

Sent using the force...
