Come on then, who has fancied their hand at some racing??

Even if you have no experience this is a great grassroots event to get stuck in and have a great day!!!

At Chicksands Bike Park on the 25th November they are running a grassroots winter 4x race, hopefully a series but following dates TBC. There are some great prizes from companies such as Halo Wheels, Gusset Bikes and ODI.

Its only £20 pre enter or £25 on the day (limited to 150 riders due to short daylight hours.) Come on give it a go!!!! Get all your mates involved and make this a day to remember!!!

The Pro Elite class will be stacked with some top National riders such as 4x Junior National Champion Jordan Lunn, Chicksands Local Tom Dowie, members of 44 Racing and Team Identiti. Many more to be confirmed.

So that's a days riding and racing, a chance win some great prizes and a chance to watch some top riders!!! What are you waiting for?!

Was over there last Sunday, the 4x got a bit crowded so we moved on to the dual, was a blast, really enjoyed it

Hahaa were you?! I was too!!! I was on the 4x most of the day playing on their new "pro line" which is the big double next to the quad! Got a nice little vid of me boosting it too!! It did get crowded as people were doing 12 man pump races!! haha

Hope you can make it down for the race though!!

I would race, but I wouldn't want to steal Matt's thunder, so rather than decimating the pro elites, I think I'll just do a video instead

Just been re-thinking this after discussing it with Muzza, anyone got a spare bike i could use for the day?
I dont think a 29er full susser would be ideal for 4X?
failing that i may be able to build a small GT out of bits if i can find some forks?

How much travel does the 29er have?! If it can cope with a bit of abuse you'll be fine!!! I have seen people race 4x on 8in travel session 88's in the novice classes of nationals!!

120mm, but i think it might suffer in the turns?, its quite twisty down the bottom.

Unless you are very aggressive i wouldn't expect to get very far on that track

Exactly, think I'll look at a cheapy set of forks and build up the old dog?
