Just be carefull what you use it on.

use as a water repelent and aftershave, not as a lubricant

Something thats oil based.

I use a motorbike spray grease, but everyone has their own preference.
GT85 is great for cleaning and water dispertion as is WD40, but they are not a good lubricant.

If you want to use something on your forks and rear shock a PTFE lube, or specific fork juice. DO NOT USE GT85 or WD40.

After washing the bike normally use this stuff: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/muc-off-bike-sp ... l-aerosol/ as you can normally pick it up fairly cheaply online. It's fine on forks and shock as it's PTFE based as VW specified.
I use finishline Wet lube for the chain although during the week I use the Pro Gold stuff as it picks up far less grit off the Flitch Way.
