It's Chinese and cheap, that's why. They usually come with a US charger so you need a US to UK adapter. Some throw in a 3 pin UK charger though.

I was thinking about getting this;
http://www.electronlights.co.uk/lights/rechargeable/terra-3

What you guys reckon? Is it a bit excessive compared to these 'Cheap Chinese Lights on eBay'.

I did look at these 'Cheap Chinese Lights on eBay' a while ago, but got put off by the negative talk on an USA forum.

Plus 4000 lumens, the guys on some USA forum said this was an utter joke!

Says on here "Don't use it long time in high power mode";

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HOT-3-x-CREE- ... 1257153%26

I want a light for commutes home, which takes me through a couple of bumpy down hil fields, and a dark dirt track, and a quiet at night country lane road, plus a light for night 'MTB Trips to forests'.

You need both.
if you only have one then on your noggin as bars follow you round a corner, i prefer to see whats round the corner before turning!

Taking the creed 1800 out Tuesaday.

Can anyone recommend a good bar light that will give a good wide beam?

You can pick up orange peel reflectors for most of these chinese lights on ebay so as vw says, same light and switch the reflector.
