Greetings fellow bikers. I come in peace. I'm Paul and i've ridden Epping a few times - was out on Sunday early - all done by 10am. I've found some fairly good trails and some lovely single track but constantly feel im missing the great stuff - i do tend to find the mud!!!

I ride a 2009 Cube Stereo - old but great fun. My mate rides a lovely rocky mountain hard tail. we wanna learn all there is about Epping and the surrounding ride centres. I really dont like air time - i blame my days on my BMX but love a good hard XC ride. what time and day do you generally meet at the green tea shop. we'd love to meet you. the other newbies here seem to have made really welcome so we really wanna get involved. would love to hear form you. we could join you for an epping ride this sunday if you guys are out

Hello fellow Cube rider! There are loads of folk on here that ride in Epping but I think most may be travelling a bit further out to ride at the moment. If it rains much more then Epping will soon be bogland again. it was relatively OK on Sunday due to the frost but got worse as the day warmed up. Obviously we've had more rain, but hopefully it'll be all frosted over again at the weekend. I don't think I'll be out on Sunday - currently thinking about possibly having a night ride on Friday eve. It'll be my first one in Epping and considering I fell off three times yesterday in the daylight ....

so wheres the next ride at. as i said i dont want any pants filling big air at the mo but really want to get out and about more. loads of the trails at epping have the white signs up threatening any rider with £200 bill if they go past. do you know of any long sweet downhills there. any help - greatly appreciated

O, i forgot to say. I also own a kona lava dome joe murray special - the sweetest hard tail ever and a lurid pink Kirk revolution 1991. rare as hens teeth and gives you the feeling of full sus without any suspension at all. Its a magnesium alloy which flexes ridiculously. for the first few rides i seriously thought id broken my back axle somewhere as i was convinced i had more rear wheel steer than front. Also owned a fast recumbent but got hacked off with car drivers never seeing me as i was below their door level so sold it on.

Best thing to do is check out the Ride Calendar - (button on the top right of the page) - If anyone is heading out they'll usually post about it and it'll appear in the calendar. I'm not big on jumps either by the way. There are a few downhills in the forest without jumps, Me and my mates usuall ride the same three, none are particularly long though. My mate has nly been riding since Feb and we've been sticking to what we know rather than looking for new because the ones we're riding at the moment are still running quite fast (if you can see them through the leaves)

Hi all, I am Specialised man myself -Bighit 3 - Camber comp , Hardrock , P3 . P2 , Tricross Allez sport ,Racer , Marin frame project plus a couple of old pigs years old . I forgot BMX Fatboy 1997 from America (Ex American air force pilots ).
Must admit its a so so to ride them all .but a place for everything.
Went to French Alps in July to do the Mega but went over the top 2300 metres up -collar bone two places. and a DNS -nr241. Second row secon heat . I was /am gutted.
Just getting back into fitness and having fun again after 4mths of watching everyone else.
Must catch up with you all when work allows.
