This the exact problem (sorry to single someone out) but it's the point I try to make. If braking bumps on a duel track mean you need a full sus, I think you need to ride a bit more. there's guys who go down there on BMX's, probably a lot faster than the majority of riders (including me).

I thought Chicksands was pretty smooth...its seems to be quite soft mud so didnt really notice any bad bumps, compare this to for example main red run at Les Gets ore other top heavily used where its 5-10 mins of arm killing .. Although having said that, its the front suss that takes most of the punishment, I made lots of changes on my second trip this year, softer springs and thicker softer grips which was a great improvment.

Main prob was rear end skipping about jamming up the gears as i have no chain device and running 3 three up front as its just a cheapish xc machine.....................on the 4x it was king!
so defo horses for courses!

yep prob was whilst adjusting feet for berms ( pedaling half a turn) chain jamming up on rear cogs preventing me from changing feet or pedaling
its just a simple xc set up so had to put up with it ............on 4x it was perfect!
