Chaps,

Just ordered a 2012 JT Racing ALS2 full face helmet from CRC after being tempted in by the massive 78% reduction. The only thing I'm a little nervous about is the weight as this is a MX helmet but I report back once it arrives :)

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=27&BrandID=1299

Still plenty of stock if anyone else is interested.

Thanks,

James

You didnt read the post about the difference between MX and MTB helmets did you LOL

they're designed for a different type of impact and its considered that MX helmets are too rigid for the slower speeds of MTB and do you more harm than good if you come off

i was tempted by them too at that price but changed for a 661 jobbie and glad i did to be honest.

I'd be more worried about the lack of vents tbh mate

hope it works out well for you.

I must have missed that article lol ! I will have a read now and maybe cancel the order.

As for vents - if you read the info it talks about being one of the most ventilated helmets on the market but let's wait and see.

So does anyone know of a good full face deal for around £50-£75 and in size medium?

Thanks,

James

Well there isn't anything else that takes my fancy or is in my size (medium) so I'm going to stick with the ALS2.

There is a lot of information about using MX helmets for MTB and to be fair after reading it I'm on the fence. At least this will give me better protection than my current XC one :)
