I think the whole trail network in the whole area is going to be linked up to it so it should be pretty mega. Not sure on the dhish sections mind.

Yer its just paperwork and designs that need signing off etc. Once paperworks all done it shouldn't take long to build. Hopefully we get a good summer so we can bang it out quick.

There's a whole heap of technical drawings required for each part depicting depths/angles/ orientation substrate layers all sorts of BS, i know its important and not the same as digging a pile of dirt and calling it a jump LOL its all the design stuff that has to be drawn and then agreed which takes time, the actual building isnt such an issue, Architrail have done some good trails all over so they know whats up.

Interesting vid. Wonder whereabouts the pump track is gonna be ? The strart/finish area looks a bit barren now all the stands etc have gone.

So if this whats planned it should take about 2 weekends to adapt the course ?

unless they employ complete slackers ?

The pump track looks like a good step in the right direction for those looking for something more entertaining than XC stuff:

should be good....

I hear somewhere 2017 mentioned for full completion??? So you maybe right John

RIO will have been built and raced on before this legacy course is finished and the first public riders ridden it.... all could be wrong but the rumour mill is in overdrive on this one....

Ive heard 2 years mentioned..which does seem ridiculous considering the whole course was built very fast and then after the test race, the extra modifications were done quickly too and some of these involved obtaining some huge rocks and placing them in position.

i think they are gonna run into problems come the summer, if its nice weather there are gonna be a lot of people itching to get on, completed or not.

Overall though, the planned mods look good, they dont remove too much just make some additions which will help flow/speed/safety. I like the 'flowy berm' bit on the video, cant recall where that bit it, it almost looks like a DH track :)

I spoke to the Essex County Council guys at the London Bike Show on Sunday and they said that they have just got planning permission for the changes and that the works should be done by 2014 as they are allowing 12 months for the works.

12months must include all the buildings and crap that surround the park, shame they cant get on and get the trails done first.....
