Was it the guy off BR who was interested in the lefty? Such a waste of a good frame. I'm still on the lookout for a Carbon 456, probably a 14" though.

Yea mate, I am still tempted by a 456 but really can't justify one at the moment

I've got a steel 456 with the cash I was allowed from my spesh enduro sale and love it ! With the weight saved going carbon it would be a top xc/trail hardtail
But I don't have the funds :(

Yeah I already have the steel one and it's great and now they have a titanium one for £799, bit out of my league!

Quick question on the 456 what forks do you run ? I only have rockshock recon 120mm as no budget for new forks and I like the ride. Coming from a 6in full sus anything was going to have a sting in the tail but mine climbs well and has the grin factor coming down with a faster faster feel. Just wondered if longer travel was even better

I have 150mm Revelations with a short stem (65 or 55mm I think). Goes down really well but I have struggled going up some really steep stuff to keep the front down where I probably wouldn't have done on my old bike. Was thinking the next size down frame and a slightly longer stem may help with this but it's not something that bothers me too much. I imagine and talas or u-turn/dual position fork would be great on this bike.
As I've always ridden hardtails I haven't got much to compare it too though.

I've got a 70mm stem 90 was too long and 55 too short. I think I might keep with hardtails now or definitely shorter travel as its more xc/trail riding these days.

I love my Revelations I picked up from PinkBike.. 100-130 Dual Air U-Turn adjustment so on the climbs, drop them to 100 and on the fun stuff, open them up to 130.

You could look out for a set of these 11-140 were another version I seem to remember seeing and watch out for a bargain?

To be honest Ev, my 150 Revelations are great and as I try to take my bike with me whenever I go west (Somerset and Wales is where I have family) these are ideal for those kind of trails. Overkill for round here I know, just wish there are a decent dropper post that would fit my frame too (KS LEV 27.2)!

Yeah (£199 on Superstar) but not a LEV...yet. At leas I can't find one anywhere and neither can anyone on STW! Would prefer that due to the lack of free cable. It's a shame RockShox won't be doing one, must be a decent amount of the market that they're missing.
