Hello! I'm very new to forums but hoping to find some peeps to ride with. I live in Milton Keynes and I ride my horse round Woburn and have seen some great tracks! All my girly friends aren't into XC or DH and all my guy friends are too advanced and I feel like I'll hold them back! :problem: Need some lovely people (male or female) to ride with! I have a full sus Specialized and a Marin Alpine trail (sorry not clued up on the bike lingo) and will try pretty much anything! Thanks everyone! xXx

As above, try Chicksands for some varied riding, from 4x, DJ, DH and pump track, and apparently there is an xc loop around the site.

There used to be a really good xc route that was way marked from the car park in the middle road and took in a few harder ans ome made features, great down and ups through all the gullys and finished by running down what has now become the bull run before looping back along the bottom of the woods. With all the forestry that has and is still going on, this is now gone, but as a sandy soil on top a hill it dries quickly and there are loads of paths just turn up and ride around. When you've done that head into the bike park and get your technical skills honed too.

Thank you everyone! I'm going to Calver in the Peak District tomorrow to do a bit of xc but I'd love to do Chicksands soon. The jumps scare me! Ha ha! I get plenty of air time on the horse but still not quite got the hang of it on the bike! I just tend to go for it without knowing what I'm doing an have come off loads! Ha! xXx

Welcome to the club Harriet... Can you not get a bike rack for the Horse..

Plenty of ride trips coming up now.. best place to watch is the ride calendar.. helps plan those away days and days out...

My daughter has two horses and I tried racing her once but that aint happening again    (even with a head start)
