I'm in need of a new lid and need it for Sunday.

So does anybody know a shop that has a decent selection?

Was after a 661 Recon Stealth.

I'm in Thurrock but am happy to drive out a bit :)

And forgot to say that I thought the older chap at CS that served me was exceedingly miserable

Shame as there were some very pretty wheels in there that could easily have turned my head...

Silly them. But it wasn't me and I like to buy things (just now maybe not from them).

I don't think that is anything personal. That's Tony isn't it? Or Nick? I thought that the first time I went in, but he'll do a good deal. Maybe he has had too many tyre kickers going in over the years?

Makes no odds really Apples... I've been told to go there as they were great guys and have loads of stock and so on...

First impressions are that it's not for me - even though that may not be a fair representation of the shop it's what I felt.

I went in to look at a £140 helmet and had already said on facebook that I was coming and was basically in a buying mood - if they can't discern that somebody willing to spend £140 on a helmet isn't more than a tyre kicker then they have bigger problems than being a little miserable.

That being said each to their own - you know 'make love - not war' and all that - perhaps should be 'ride a bike - not war' but that doesn't really work!

Sorry to hear you didnt enjoy you vissit CC, Nick is the small guy that works MTB side of things. he does have a dry sence of humour. That-as-side he does do some good deals and matchs (beats) web site prices. i payed £70 for a FATONE lite bars 20mm (£52 on line), all weather gloves (£25) and a Mucky Nutz XL (£11). Considering i got to offer all the bits up to my bike, try the gloves on and then used his tools to fit the bars in the shop ;) , it was worth it.

that KAI lid you were looking at (im guessing that part) you could have hammered him down to about 70 quid. Iv also been looking at there lids but nothing in there stock take my fancy at the min.
