Its called heli-tape as it was introduced to the market from the aviation industry who alledgedly used it on the tips of helicoptor blades to prevent the blades from shattering when involved in minor collisions like birds or twigs or whatever.

heli tape can be purchased either clear or matte finish.
the matte stuff is a nightmare to work with and it looks toilet.

heli-tape is not cheap, it is best applied wet and thoroughly trimmed as pulling it on and off surfaces does not go well.

essexherts stickers orders can be placed via the usual page.

I thought it must involve helicopters somewhere !

My answer would of been.....When using helicopters to rescue injured mountain bikers, bikers started putting tape on their frames so they didnt get scratched when winched up by the chopper :)

Like trying to get blood out of a stone! Anyway it's with the powder Coaters now, I found the lime green colour but it's from a distributor that's going defunct in the UK and getting it would be problematic and they're charging a fortune so I resorted to plan b but added a small amount of hologram flake to it. The guys off for six days, so won't be ready until the week after next.

Sent using the force...
