How's it going?

I've been tasked with scoping out a possible trip to Morocco to take in the Atlas Mountains. There seems to be plenty of information available on t'internet, but I was after any first hand experiences. Has anyone been? If you have, or know someone who has, would be good to get some feedback and any potential gotchas or places to aim for. Of course if a trip is planned and someone wants to come along, we'll get that sorted too!

Cheers

I had a mate go over crimbo, he said it was some of the best riding he's ever done.
I'll ask him for the link if you like?

I went climbing 3 years ago in the atlas mountains and it looked awesome - wish I had had my bike with me.

I went late may and it was still quite cold in the mountains but would be perfect for riding. However, there was a monumental downpour one day. Literally the heaviest rain I have ever seen. It washed away all the bridges to the village I was staying in.

I would go for it!

I know a guy that organises trips out there (www.veloventures.co.uk) but it's more XC stuff but he's very easy to talk to and may be able to put you in touch with someone out there...

The Freeride part is £595 all in except bottled water inc one night in hotel on the last night, flights including bike and hold bag for luggage is looking around £530. Spending money is around £40.
