Kk guys my brother is after a mountain bike hasn't got to be top make something to get him from a-b has front forks and disc brakes not bother about full suspension has anyone got anything ?

I've got a saracen Xile jump bike dated about 2006ish with dual crown forks upfront, but no discs, it has mounts for disc's but has v-brakes fitted ?
frame and forks are like this the rest has had upgrades etc.
