I'm looking to replace my SDG Bel Air as last night i added to the damage on it somewhat.

I run an I-beam set up and intend to carry on with that non creaky goodness!

now do i go for the SDG I-fly or the RaceFace Atlas ?

I-fly is £62

Atlas looks smoother so less restrictive when you're slamming into trees....

You cant beat a good creak, |I spend hours trying to track down an annoying one last weekend, turned out it was the offset bushing I installed on shock, just needed a bit of grease :), back to silence again now ...

Hmm that's intersting, I've got a Bel Air and recently discovered it was the source of some creaking ... is it a common thing with SDG saddles? ... or specific to the Bel Air ??

Apart from replacing it ... how do I stop the creaking??

i have an I-beam saddle so it doesn't creak so i'm afraid i can't help with that.

i would check the rail bolts are tight and the seat post bolts are correctly torqued.

^^ undo and redo the rail bolts especially after a knock or just after plenty of saddle time, back them both off clean them then tighten

Thanks , I'll check that out this weekend.

Been looking on-line and a lot of people rate the Bel Air, but a hell of a lot also moan about creaking! - seems to be a known issue.

Apologies for taking the post off-track.

It it were my choice, I'd go for the SDG.

Alternatively the same saddle from superstar in the Ti flavour is the same as the bel air but a hell of a lit cheaper and lighter
