Anybody know how Bedgbury is? Am planning a run down there tomorrow morning.

Is it completely open now, there is a post somewhere on the forum saying that they were doing maintenance work.

Nice ;) planning a ride hopefully next week or two!maybe mid week!

Hi Simon, not sure you read my post properly, it was a question asking if Bedgbury was completely open. I wanted to go a couple of weeks ago until someone pointed that they were doing some maintenance work and it won't be open properly until July, but I may be wrong

Apart from a post a few days ago about epping/high beach, don't suppose anyone has been that way and seen what it is like?

North Epping yesterday - pretty dry actually, only the deepest puddles are still full of water and mud, the only proble is you can't always tell how deep and muddy, some of them are quite "grabby" - a few places still a bit loose. I washed out the front a couple of times but that was more down to knackered old tyres I think.

On Sunday Epping was a bit grim slow and sticky...

Yesterday it was getting better and some places were flowing well. I imagine it will continue to improve over the week and by the weekend be nice and fast in most places. It will still take a good while for the really boggy sections with a foot of water to clear however...maybe not at all this summer.

Watch out for the brambles and mosquitos however... !

The mozy that got me on the leg on Sunday must have been as big as a mouse !!! - I have an enormouse mark and swelling on my calf and it itches like hell - I even remember when it happened because I thought it was nettles when I felt it.

Ouch - Ive eaten a few on downhill sections when Ive had my mouth open... grim! Yea all the standing water means it will be a bit full on with the bugs this year. Bug spray is recommended if ur doing a post 4pm ride.

There are 5+ days of hot sunny weather forecast and it should get the trails in good shape

Epping is in good shape, here's hoping the bit of rain tonight doesn't do anything but good to the trails.

So Broxbourne is a little slippy, but the trails aren't too bad considering the rain lately.

Epping is fairly wet.. hoping it will dry out fast but there is a fair bit of surface water right now.
