Yep..cheers for that.....from South Woodham Ferrers...although done the ride from Chelmsford before which is about the same and you can visit the pump track on the way...if you can dind the bugger
Was enjoyable day, really smooth and dry and felt myself progress it terms of speed, being able to pump better in/out of bombholes and get higher air.
I had a period of crappy brakes previously, they wernt gripping, and just got glazed all the time, tried various things, sandpaper down pads (but really only buying new ones was best result), putting on some carborundum grit was quite helpful but best result was to use different bleed method - using syringe method instead of squeeze n drip was what really made a difference, hav'nt done anything since new bike rebuild in October time and been to Chicksands, Danvury, UKbikepark, Warley and been fine all this time
Maybe you should try softer pads ?. The organic one or maybe superstars kevlar ones ? The metal/sintered ones need real hard burning in IMO and Ive found in UK with cold/wet and short stop/start runs they just dont get the good/long burn in they need, I've only used them in Alps where normal pads sometimes only last a day or so but you really can burn in metal/sintered ones well and of course they last longer.
