As part of my continued build up of events this year, I'm taking part in the Gorrick TVT Hot Challenge this week.

Really enjoyed the day, it was well run and a fantastic route and was a quite a bit more technical in places than the Wiggle events have been (this is a good thing), the woods were especially great fun but there were miles stinging nettle runs within inches either side, how I didn't get stung I have no idea!

Took the family with me and they went to a nearby farm for the morning and then we had a picnic at the event HQ for a couple of hours and sampled the excellent BBQ offerings in the afternoon, it was nice that the majority were in no rush to head off.

I didn't push particularly hard on this one as I wanted to enjoy the scenery, plus there was a lot more friendly people to chat with along the route, in the end I did 50km in 3h 33m, but that does include 10 mins of photos and 5 mins of dicking around with my brakes.
