Fitted new Superstar headset to Corratec 29'er today... get the old OEM rusty balls out of it :roll: :roll:

out with the old (oh and I did services these a month and half ago)

And fit the new sealed bearing unit

Also serviced the brakes and fitted new sintered pads (kevlar ones where squealing away, still have life in them but now spare pair)....

New grip shifters for sons bike! May not excite us all but it's still fun opening a package and I know a 10 year old that's going to be totally over the top excited!

Now waiting on grips & tyres...

Headset looks good chatman, cant decide about the spacers though, was looking at some for mine but can decide if I like the ribbed effect or the all solid.

I thought ribbed was the default choice...

I just changed my headset... no pics... over and done with too quick... really didn't realise how easy it is to have a solid headset... :wtf:

Insulted am I! Now I know I'm known for breaking them and not fixing them but on this occasion it was 100% me (lets see how long it lasts...)

Hanging on a string waiting for an email from Evans of all places to say my new rear mech is ready to collect..... its been 3 days how long do they need, if its not here today i wont be able to get it until Tuesday tap, tap, tap ,tap......

If only i'd remembered to order a Shimano HGX chain link.... now the hunt begins to find one in the city that i can get too in my lunch break, which starts in 5mins....

The chain is HGX or something the link is the pin you push through to join it back up rather than a crappy speed link.

bought a pack of 5 from Cycle surgery at southwark bridge. the Zee is now yours :)
