A few sticky parts around Thorndon, some biggies muddy puddle, but you can still find some fast lanes. Saw the new no bike sign  Shame if they start forbidding some parts

Chicksands is dusty as... pine needles have all degraded into dust, and the mud is loose, was fast and a bit unpredictable. Got a nice graze on my knee to prove it too lol

Anyone been on the skinny singletrack bit that runs parallel with the main firetrack recently ? You come across this if you enter through the Station Rd entrance at Benfleet instead of St Marys Road.

Tuesday eve in Epping was OK, the rain on Monday hasn't really created any probs. It's dampened the dust down and a couple of the regular wet patches are, well .... wet again. So there are a few muddy puddles. Where the horses have been after the rain, it is a bit churned which will add to the bumps assuming it has all dried out again.

I'm out again tomorrow after work, so I'll post another update. If it doesn't rain again I 'm guessing it'll be dry again by the weekend. It's running really fast at the moment.

Make the most of it folks as I doubt these conditions are going to be with us much longer!

No idea if anyone rides Great Wakering Common and the MOD Firing Ranges, there are some nice XC tracks over there but recently it's got really overgrown. 2ft deep grass and unpredictable surface underneath. Otherwise fine!

3rd August 2013 - Langdon Hills - Nice dry trails out in the open, some boggy patches on the single tracks but nothing you can't power through. Still rolling fast on the descents.

4th August 2013 - Shipwrights - Mostly dry trails, again, some boggy patches (some deep). Over all very rideable.
