As you come out of the station turn left and go either under the tracks (depending on which exit is being used) then at the road turn left again and follow it down to the mini round about (past the car park on your right) at the mini roundabout turn right and that road leads up to another roundabout. straight over is Essex Way.

If i were you guys i'd meet at the downs entrance on St Mary's road as its less vague... ,people arriving at the station that dont know the entrance can head left out of the station as above but turn RIGHT and follow the road round to the left, up the really steep hill and turn right at the very top and the downs entrance is 100yds in front of you at the end of a short dead end road.

just an idea for you.

You have to pay at the station, you'd be far better going to the Castle lane entrance to hadleigh park and parking anywhere but in their car park, then its free LOL

Seems to be a bit of confusion going on haha, where is easier for everyone to meet? Benfleet Station or Castle Lane? We can always ride around to the St. Mary's entrance?

For me its benfleet end as that just gives you a longer and more dh route imo, chapel lane is kinda halfway but thats just the way i view it.

Right, the plan of action - Anyone who wants to meet at Castle Lane, I will meet you at the A13 end of Castle Lane (On the Hadleigh one way system) at 9:45am. We will ride down to St. Mary's at the bottom of Essex Way to meet anyone else.

Anyone know for certain if Benfleet Station Car Park is actually free on Saturdays?
