I want a crap pair of forks. Add long as they'll hold a wheel that's all that matters. Even if they will no longer go in a framework doesn't matter if they're old rim brake style, what do you have...

I have a pair of RST somethings in the shed. Wouldn't call them forks though, more like a pogo stick.

Yup they're for a truing stand, want to empty them of any oil/air and stuff the lowers with something to make them rigid then mash the steerer up around a bit of box section so i can clamp them square in a vice :)

But you wont be able to do rear wheels unless you stretch them or cut them in half so they slide in and out due to with changes on hubs, also worth thinking about is axle diameters. might be worth starting from scratch with all the variables in mind?

Easy to manipulate alloy or even magnesium lowers with a spring compressor in reverse and i havesome alloy tube to use as axle mounts into modified fork ends ;) and can knock up a couple of adjustable pointers that will clamp to the inverted lowers, just need the basic forks as i was too lazy to get the metal folder / pipe bender out again....

I tried that and it was uncomfortable for me with the bike upside down on the floor and i couldn't rig up a decent pointer system to get really accurate so i lost my rag with it and gave it to a mate LOL

I'm not saying i did :shifty: but i messed a friends up on his santa cruz when we in CYB as i rushed it and kept turning them the wrong way then not thinking when re spinning. silly sod, good job we had a spare wheel for him to use.

Done others since, no problem.
