So now we have a bit more detail on the location of courses next year. Thought this thread would be handy for all things MSG next year.

Dates and Venues:

16th March Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk
13th April Carver Barracks, Essex Walden Tri
18th May Codham Park, Essex Regional Champs
8th June Ickworth House, Suffolk West Suffolk Wheelers
29th June TBC
3rd August Thetford Forest, Norfolk TIMBER
7th Sept TBC
28th Sept Langdon Hills, Essex TBC

Might try out Carver Barracks as it's close by.

When I asked, From BR

Codham is part of the nationals this year - so not part of mud sweat & gears, but if you have a licence you can obviously race there.

Yep we did this year I'm sure. I think it works like the points here are counted towards the nationals and not the MSG total...

Think the hadleigh race was one

So I'm planning on having a go at this :wtf:

I've got a bit of a noob bike question... not that I think what bike I'm on is going to make that much ( if any ) difference but I thought I might as well ask ;)

I've got three options...

456 evo

Or my much heavier Hardrock 29er, I'm just waiting on some new wheels for it so that should help it a bit.

But I've got 2 options for the forks on the 29r... stock Suntours with 80mm of travel that really only seem to show about 25mm of travel anywhere but Wales.

Or a set of rigid carbon forks.... these would be 2kg lighter than the Suntours......

TLDR:

MSG, 29er, rigid forks... really stupid and will I die ?

PS... the reason I don't want to buy Rebas or similar is that I need a straight steerer for the Hardrock and these cost more than the tapered steerer that the next 29er frame I buy will probably take...
